WIEF Foundation Launch

The World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation (WIEF) was established in March 2006. It is an independent not-for-profit organization that provides a suitable platform for the best minds to exchange ideas and opinions of concern to both government and business.
On the 7th June 2006, the Foundation was officially launched by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who is also the current chairman of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC).
The Foundation shall administer and organize the annual series of the World Islamic Economic Forum and other related programmes aimed at fostering partnerships among Muslim businessmen as well as dialogues and understanding between Muslim and non-Muslims, which will contribute towards world peace and prosperity.
